Debbie Hutson

The WV Country Music Hall of Fame announces that Debbie K. Hutson will be one of the inductees into the Hall of Fame on Saturday, April 18, 2026 in the Non-Performer Category.

Debbie has been coming and supporting the Sagebrush Round-Up Music Show for over 30 years when she started attending with her parents in the 1990’s. Over the years she has helped with many things at the Sagebrush including working at the yard sales and dinners down at the other building. She helped secure donated items for the car shows and was a tremendous helper with these car shows as needed. Other areas of volunteering include, selling raffle tickets, working in the kitchen, and the popcorn stand for many, many years. There were times she even worked the Country Store.

The most involvement Debbie has taken pride in was working and creating the Hall of Fame Museum. Countless hours she spent logging memorabilia, sorting through files, and creating many binders for visitors to enjoy and look through history and historical moments about the Sagebrush Round-Up and its entertainers. Debbie was instrumental in starting the obituary books where the people involved have gone before us and can be remembered and honored in the Museum. Her father, Bill Hutson, created the Wall of Honor House in the Main Music Hall in which Debbie was always there lending him a helping hand. From day one Debbie has taken it upon herself to decorate the Music Hall and the stage for all the Induction Ceremonies. She set up cookie tables, wrote the speeches, sent invitations and created the program booklet for each and every ceremony. Debbie K. Hutson is currently a Co-Chairperson for the WV Country Music Hall of Fame & Museum Induction Committee and has served in that position for the past five years.
