Ryan Cain is a proud native of Clarksburg, West Virginia, and has spent more than 30 years bringing authentic honky-tonk and rockabilly music to stages across the East Coast. Known regionally as “the real deal,” Ryan has built a reputation for delivering classic country sounds with genuine passion and timeless style.
Growing up, Ryan may not have had much, but his father’s record collection filled their home with the rich sounds of country legends. Influenced by icons like Hank Williams, Faron Young, and Carl Smith, Ryan often jokes that he was born in the wrong decade. From the moment he could hold a guitar, he was captivated - teaching himself the sounds, techniques, and spirit of the records that shaped him. Countless hours were spent studying and emulating his heroes, laying the foundation for the artist he would become.
A true multi-instrumentalist, Ryan is exceptionally talented on guitar, upright bass, drums, and lap steel. His deep understanding of traditional honky-tonk and country music shines through in every performance. Audiences everywhere quickly become fans, drawn to his authenticity, musicianship, and high-energy stage presence. One of his most talked-about moments? Standing atop his upright bass - balanced and still playing beautifully.
In addition to performing, Ryan has produced several albums and continues to write and record original material that honors the roots of classic country music. Since 2011, he has fronted his own group, Ryan Cain and the Ables, carrying the torch for traditional country and rockabilly with pride.
When he’s not on stage, Ryan enjoys spending time at home with his wife and three children, tinkering on old cars and exploring abandoned buildings in search of hidden treasures.
With decades of dedication behind him and a sound rooted in authenticity, Ryan Cain continues to keep real honky-tonk and rockabilly music alive.
